Rocky is waiting for someone very special. He is a wonderful companion but needs to learn to trust you and will need someone who is patient and understanding. But, once he knows you love him and are a good person, he will shower you with his love.

Rocky loves to be by your side. He wants to sit on the couch with you and expects to sleep in bed with you. He will even help with laundry or enjoy a morning cup of coffee with you. You will always find him at your feet under the dinner table at dinner time. He gets excited about his morning and evening walks and is a great running companion. Rocky can easily run three miles and is just that motivation you need sometimes from a running partner. Rocky has been on road trips to the mountains and swimming in the rivers. He loves to go on hikes and play with his toys in the yard. Rocky has his blankets he drags around the house and finds his perfect spot on the chair to gaze out the window. 

Rocky lives with 5 cats and is pretty good with them, although he is occasionally interested and will playful run after them. Once he gets a swipe to the face he backs off. He lives with an alpha lab. Rocky does like to play and will get a bit wild with other dogs but my lab knows how to handle him and will put him in his place. He is gets uneasy when other dogs pass during walks and will need constant coaching and reassurance that he is safe. Treats work well for this and he has been working on this for a long time. He will do well with continuous reinforcement. 

Rocky will do best in a home with a yard, where he won't be home for long periods of time alone, where he gets plenty of exercise and adventure, where he will be part of the family and get lots of attention. He is uneasy around young children and will do best in a quiet household with adults or adults with older children (over 16) who know how to handle dogs well. 

Rocky is a true love bug and we want to find that perfect family for him. We know you are out there.
