Delilah is one seriously special girl! Delilah's life started out on the streets; she was dumped on the side of the road as a young kitten, and if a kindhearted person hadn't spotted her she would not have survived. Delilah was starved, just skin and bones, and was covered in fleas. She had a terrible upper respiratory infection, but man could she purr! After receiving veterinary care, Delilah is now a happy and healthy girl with lots to offer her adopters. She has beautiful silky floofy hair with a gorgeous wavy tail, she is mostly gray with very pretty orange undertones, she loves spending time with her foster mom, and she gets along with all the dogs and cats in her foster home. Even the grumpy older cats like her, because she is quiet and respectful but also playful.
Delilah loves to play with her friends, and her favorite toy is a plastic spiral. She will pick it up in her mouth and run around the house with her friends in pursuit, and she loves to play soccer with her ball. She can play rough and tumble and then take a nice long nap on her soft blanket.
Delilah has compromised vision from her battle with a virus and the related upper respiratory infection. The ophthalmologist says that her corneas are scarred, but that she has retained plenty of vision in both eyes and will be able to lead a normal life. Her owners will need to keep a close watch on her eyes throughout her life, but we do not expect any long term complications. If you watch Delilah playing with her friends or chasing bugs, you would never know that she is partially blind. Delilah will need to be an indoor only cat for her safety. She needs to be adopted with her best pal, Margaret, as she is very reliant on Margaret to give her confidence to explore the world. She would prefer a home that is on the quieter side. Because of her vision issues, loud noises and lots of commotion make her nervous. If you're looking for a low key pair of kittens to add to your kitty family, Delilah and Margaret may be the perfect match.
Delilah is up to date on vaccines, negative for FIV and FeLV, and will be spayed and microchipped prior to adoption. If you are interested in this special girl, please submit an application to see if you might be a good match.
