Peter!  This adorable boy was released to a local shelter after this owner refused to have him groomed.  This sweetie was covered in matted fur (down to his skin) and overrun with fleas, to the point that he had to be completely shaved down.  He was also suffering from skin issues and was too thin for his size and energy.  Fast forward six weeks and Peter is AMAZING!!  Peter loves every human he meets, as well as each and every dog in his foster families neighborhood.  He even is on his best behavior with the resident geriatric kitty.  He loves to play and torment his foster sister, who triples him in the size department.  

Peter would do best in a home where the children are over twelve years old and who can respect a small dogs stature.  Peter loves human touch and would do best in a home where gentle, but firm reinforcement of basic commands is kept up, as the old saying easily applies to this little man that when he is given an inch, he will "attempt" to take a mile.  Basic obedience is highly recommended and encouraged, as is daily exercise and walks.  His furever home needs to have a 5-6 foot secure physical fence, as he is definitely a bolter and a high jumping expert...HEY, there's exciting stuff happening on the other side of that fence, ya know!  He will also need regular grooming appointments, as his first life was no fun for him with no grooming and painful matting, so expect to spend money for essential grooming on a regular basis.  

Peter is doing well with his potty and crate training, as well as his basic commands.  He enjoys eating, sleeping in his foster parents bed and climbing onto and chewing his foster sisters body.
