Aleister is a dream dog come true. He is smart, gentle and aims to please. Not to mention beautiful and silly to boot. He is house trained, loves riding in the car and in less than two weeks learned sit, wait, stay and is an excellent leash walker. He's also crate trained. At home he will lovingly check in with you as he loves pets but is content to lounge around the house and do his own thing.
If he is doing his own thing it involves gently carrying his toys around the house from different dog beds or napping. His other go to is an acrobatic toy toss with his favorite chew toy. Outside he would love to continue learning to retrieve his ball. He loves tennis balls. He rarely uses his bark and truly has the sweetest loving heart.
Along with his loving heart comes some shyness. Aleister is cautious upon meeting new people and needs slow introductions. He needs to be the one to decide when it is time to be petted and after that his shyness melts away. A home where the owners are willing to continue his leash leadership routine is best. This training will help him continue to gain confidence in himself and in his new family.
Aleister loves other dogs and kids. However because he is still learning his manners a home with children over 8 is a requirement. With proper introduction he will most likely good with cats but at this point should not be left alone with them. Aleister has been neutered, micro-chipped, and is up to date on preventative medications and vaccinations.
