Do you have an FIV + cat that needs a soulmate? Or, are you looking for a one cat household ? Pepper is a young spunky (but gentle) female who may be a bit timid but is very playful and full of curiosity. She gets along well with the other cats in the house. Pepper will purr when she gets her head rubs and ear scratches. Even though she tested FIV positive, she is in good health. She has good litter box habits and will be content taking naps, climbing cat trees or watching birds .  Pepper is ready for a family who is going to give her the love she deserves. Pepper is spayed , microchipped and up to date on her vaccines.

What does it mean to be FIV positive?   FIV   cats  most often live long, healthy, and relatively normal lives with no symptoms at all.   FIV  is not easily passed between  cats .   It cannot be spread casually -- like in litter boxes, water and food bowls, or when snuggling and playing.   The virus can be spread through blood transfusions or serious, penetrating bite wounds.  Bite wounds of this kind are extremely rare.  For more information about  FIV  please visit these websites-     https://www.vet.cornell.edu/departments-centers-and-institutes/cornell-feline-health-center/health-information/feline-health-topics/feline-immunodeficiency-virus     https://www.vetriscience.com/blog/2015/01/10-things-every- cat -owner-should-know-about-feline-immunodeficiency-virus/     https://vetmed.tamu.edu/news/pet-talk/the-truth-about-feline-aids/     https://resources.bestfriends.org/article/ fiv - cats -faqs-feline-immunodeficiency-virus
