Rocket is a fun and spunky fellow, just like his name suggests. Though we aren't sure of his breed mixes, he does have a long body, with short legs- so we assume a standard Dachshund and Terrier mix are part of his genetic makeup. Whatever he is, he is a lot of fun. Rocket would do best in the home with another playful dog. He is learning his kitty manners too, but since he is an active pup, he'd do best with a dog savvy kitty who will set boundaries for him. He's active, and smart, so having a family that will provide lots of mental and physical exercise is definitely on his list of "must haves".
Rocket is doing well with his basic obedience lessons, he is learning how to walk appropriately on a leash, and he is crate trained too. He'd love to find a family to continue his obedience lessons. He requires a home with a fenced in yard (physical fencing, not invisible), humans who are not gone for long hours, and a home where all children are 8 years of age, or older. He will be neutered, and micro-chipped, prior to adoption. He has received all age appropriate vaccines and has begun his preventative medications too.
