Maddie was purchased as a puppy during the pandemic to provide comfort and love to her human.  Unfortunately, her human could not commit to her socialization during that time, or to giving her a home forever.  Now that Maddie is in foster care, we are putting her needs first.  She needs another canine companion in her forever home, she prefers male small breed dogs that give her a bit of time to warm up.  She is good with kitties too.  She can be shy when meeting new people, but she warms up quickly with proper intros and patience- for this reason, all children in her forever home must be 10 years of age, or older.  

 

There has been a lot to learn in foster care for Maddie.  She is learning how to walk on leash, and would love a home that would continue to take her on walks, and continue her basic obedience lessons too.  She requires a safe and secure fenced in yard (physical fencing, not invisible) that is attached to the home.  She also requires humans who are not gone for long hours.  Maddie will require frequent professional grooming every 6-8 weeks.  If this is not something that you are willing and able to provide, she is not appropriate for your home.  We would prefer she be adopted by a family with dog experience, and experience with a current or previous non-shedding breed.  She has been spayed, micro-chipped, and is up to date on vaccines and preventative medications.
