Goose is a loving and energetic puppy looking for the right home. Goose had a rough start before coming to Chatham Animal Rescue and Education. Although the details aren't known, he was shot which resulted in one of his front paw toes being badly broken. He was taken to a local shelter and then brought in by our rescue. He has been receiving veterinary care weekly and been restricted in his movements and his toe is healing well.

Goose has a wonderful disposition despite this. He loves humans and most other dogs. He has a dominant type of personality so a home with an existing dominant male or female dog probably would not be a good fit. He gets along great with one of his foster female siblings because she is very playful with him and tolerant of his puppy antics. The two older foster dog siblings tolerate Goose but they don't like when he tries to play with them. There are two cats in his foster home and he has coexisted with them fine.

Goose is house broken and is very good about going as soon as he is taken outside. He is crate and kennel trained and his spent a lot of time in both due to his recovery needs. He rides very well in a vehicle. Goose knows some basic commands and is pretty good on a leash but still needs further training. Goose has been out in public settings with other people and dogs and is socializing very well and makes friends easily.

When Goose recovers completely from his injury he will need a lot of exercise and attention and a fenced in yard that he can run around in. Any children in the home should be at least 10 years old because Goose can get rather rambunctious when he is playing.
