"Hi, I'm Shadow. You can probably tell by my pictures, I love the kitchen! The living room is my second favorite spot and then I hide in the bedroom if I am afraid of something.
I have no idea how I ended up all by myself at a healthcare facility in Pittsboro last fall. The nice people there fed me and took me to the doctor's office. When we got back though, I escaped and cried and cried for more food that night. CARE trapped me and has been teaching me it is okay to play with other kitties, live with a couple of dogs and to trust people. I really, really love laying on the couch beside the lady at night. I turn on my purr box and am so content."
Shadow needs a relatively quiet home without young children. He can be a tripping hazard for older adults as he likes to sit as close as possible to favored people while they cook or do their chores. Shadow has a precious, squeaky little meow as he politely asks for another treat. He gets along well with other kitties but primarily only interacts with them while playing. Shadow prefers to take his naps solo. When he was a small kitten, Shadow's tail was ringed. His belly is now curly and grey while his back is silky black.
